A Horse Girl Engagement

Last December, SCP had the joy of photographing two incredible couples as they celebrated their engagements — and what an unforgettable experience it was!

The first session was extra special as it included a surprise proposal that took place under a beautiful oak tree that Sam thoughtfully decorated with string lights, complete with the first hitching post they tied up to. My heart bursted with joy when he dropped to one knee and asked Lauren to marry him. Watching her say "yes” and the tears of joy to follow was a moment I will never forget.

The second session was a joyful celebration of Amanda and Dillon’s engagement. It took place at my barn which is always a plus because I know all of the perfect spots to pose my models. Their love was radiant and felt effortless to capture. We were blessed with the most beautiful golden hour that lit their photos on fire to match their burning love for each other.

Both sessions left my heart so full. There’s something incredibly special about photographing couples who are so deeply in love — it radiates through every image. And of course, when the fur babies join the fun, it’s always the cherry on top! Their playful energy and sweet personalities added the perfect touch of personality to the photos.

It was an absolute honor to capture these treasured moments for both couples. I love hearing about how they are using their photos as they plan their weddings — from save-the-dates to wedding websites and beyond.
